March 30th, 2019

Very excited to announce that I will be releasing a brand new club banger from the legendary music force Wayne Newton AKA Mr. Las Vegas!

The track will be a remix of his iconic “Danke Schoen.” Wayne Newton is clearly considered one of the greatest performers in Vegas history. One of the highlights of his recent Caesar’s Palace performance was a BBC video of Wayne and the late Glen Campbell duetting. It was an exhilarating musical moment. I’m honored to be working with him and my longtime friend Scott Dorsey. This song has always been a big part of people’s lives and I’m excited to part of reimagining this classic.

Billboard Dance Chart Upstarts: Hilary Roberts - “Back to Life”

March 30th, 2019

Dallas-native singer Hilary Roberts returns for a second run on Dance Club Songs, debuting at No. 47 with “Back to Life”. Roberts tallied her first Billboard top 10 in her initial appearance last August, reaching No. 10 with “There for You.” “back” is a cover of Soul II Soul’s 30-year-old Pop/R&B smash “Back to Life (However Do You Want Me),” featuring Caron Wheeler, which spent three weeks at No. 1 in August-September 1989. That October, the original “Back” topped Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and by December it reached No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. Roberts’ track was remixed by Andrew Wilson and Richard Cutmore, Perry Twins and Wideboys, among others.

Roberts tells Billboard, “I was at a dinner with [label owner] Jason Dauman, my manager Felicia Greer, and proper Damon Sharpe and we were talking about old school songs that had a huge impact. I started singing “Back to Life” and Jason said, “You sound great singing that song! You should really consider doing it.” I hadn’t thought about singing it before because Soul II Soul’s performance with Caron Wheeler’s incredible vocals was extremely powerful. It was a bit intimidating to tackle this incredible song, but my team said, “Let’s do this!”

It updates Laura Branigan’s original, which reached No. 2 on the chart, and NO. 4 on the Hot 100, in 1984.

Erika tells Billboard, “I recognized the artistic similarities between Laura and myself, and being that I always like to curate cinematic lyrics in my own songs, I knew I had to do right by dance music today and revive an old flame.”

Harper Starling Featured on the Front Page of LA Weekly

May 18th, 2018

As a child, electropop singer-songwriter Harper Starling was precociously talented. She loved the limelight; at 3, she was happy to sing and dance onstage in a packed 800-capacity school auditorium. Alternatively, she’d choreograph her own dances to perform in the living room for her parents and grandparents.

At the age of 8, she was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome after developing severe tics and muscle spasms. As a child unable to control her body, naturally she was scared. She was teased at school, and doctors put her through numerous tests. And then she realized that the singing and dancing that made her so happy also could ease the symptoms.

Clint Holmes’ New Single “What You Leave Behind” feat. Dave Koz To Be Released To Radio On September 11th

August 26th, 2017

Clint Holmes is set to release his forthcoming single “What You Leave Behind,” featuring Grammy nominated, platinum-selling saxophonist Dave Koz, to radio stations nationwide on September 11. “What You Leave Behind” is the second single from the acclaimed album Rendezvous. Earlier this year, the album track, “Say Something (featuring Ledisi),” hit No. 1 on the Smooth Jazz New & Active Chart, and enjoyed a lengthy stay in the Top 20 of the Smooth AC chart. Further, a club remix of Holmes’ “The Perfect Trance” is currently on the DJ Times chart.

Koz said, “When I originally wrote and recorded ‘What You Leave Behind,’ it was purely an instrumental… I never fathomed that anyone would ever write a lyric to it. But, when Clint came to me with his incredibly moving words –perfectly capturing the essence of what this song was all about, it was an instant ‘YES.’ And then, he delivered a vocal performance that completely delivers the message, in such a heartfelt way. I was blown away. The man is pure genius.”

A Great Review on Kendra Erika’s New Single “Oasis” in the Palm Beach/Boca Raton Sun Sentinel

January 8th, 2017

The most dedicated fans of Boca pop singer-songwriter Kendra Erika have followed her career since she won a youth talent show at 13. All grown up now and cultivating the image of an updated Bond girl, she still entertains at fundraisers.

But with the December release of her new single "Oasis," she has taken the next step musically, writing a song produced by Grammy Award winner Damon Sharpe, who calls her "amazing." His bio lists Boca's own Ariana Grande, plus Jennifer Lopez and other famous collaborations.

Kendra Erika Featured in Music Existence

December 21st, 2016

“Oasis,”which was released in mid December, is Kendra Erika’s latest single, a vivacious tune that is a dance club’s dream. It begins with some electronic instrumentation and some autotuning on Erika’s voice. This is a brief but sad moment in the song because while it is a trendy tool in pop songs it diminishes the fact that Erika has a really amazing voice. Nothing should hide that. There are a sea of clichéd lyrics such as “seven billion grains of sand/one life to live” but somehow Erika makes it work. It fits right into todays top 40 radio landscape and definitely has an Ariana Grande vibe to it, which makes sense since “Oasis” was produced by Damon Sharpe, a Grammy Winner who has worked with Grande in the past. Upbeat and with a positive message, Erika manages to put her best foot forward.

Cheyenne Elliott Charting at 22* on

May 6th, 2015

She will make it to 18* this next week. We look forward to seeing where she goes from there! Congratulations to Cheyenne, and all of the parties involved!

Cheyenne Elliott Receive A Great Write-Up in Q Vegas Magazine

April 15th, 2015

People will want to compare Elliott to her cousin Whitney Houston and grandmother Dionne Warwick, and they wouldn’t be completely wrong. Like her famous relatives, she is a soulful singer with nuclear power and a sumptuous tone. But unlike them, she’s chosen to go the indie route with dance label Dauman Music. It hasn’t limited her access to name brand assistance. Whitney and Mariah Cary’s longtime collaborator Narada Micheal Walden produces “With You”, and enfolds Elliott in purring keyboards and slinky synthesized bass lines. It’s a slow-motion groove, and while there are echoes of Houston, and hints of Warwick too, the song reveals more of Toni Braxton’s tangy, sympathetic voice. Clubbers have long awaited someone new to unbreak our hearts. We may have found the person in Cheyenne Elliott.

Breanna Rubio Receives A Great Write-Up in Q Vegas Magazine

April 15th, 2015

This debut single (Fly Alone) shows a vulnerability we rarely see from emerging artists. Lyrically, the song is about having feelings for a guy and hoping he will reciprocate the love. However, listen closely because there is a powerful underlying metaphor of Rubio’s own career as an up-and-coming singer who has finally managed to get her music out to the masses and is now hoping to connect with fans in a meaningful way. The track, impressively produced by Manny Mijares and featuring two-time Grammy nominated rap star Fat Joe, combines an upbeat pop-dance vibe with remarkable vocals that display honesty and conviction. The DJ Escape mix is a particular favorite.

Jeff Timmons - “That Girl” A Dauman/Upscale Release, Made Digital Journal’s List of Top 5 Jeff Timmons Vocal Performances

April 14th, 2015

At No. 3 is his new dance single "That Girl." Timmons shows that he is not afraid to take risks, by experimenting in different genres such as electronic dance music (EDM), and he able to pull this off. It is refreshing, with a Daft Punk vibe to it.

Cheyenne Elliott ‘Brings It’ For Her Interview With Micheal Shinafelt

April 7th, 2015

Dauman Music/Tarpan Records’ powerhouse new vocalist Cheyenne Elliott debuts on the Billboard Dance chart at #42 with a bullet this week with “With You”. The hands-in-the-air club anthem celebrates that special someone who helps us feel alive. While most beats releasing to dance floors today lean toward Electronic fare, Elliott’s track presents a more classic, disco vibe. Written by Cheyenne and Lisa Gressett along with Whitney Houston’s longtime collaborator Narada Micheal Walden, “With You” is a fun, upbeat, warm and inviting song. Narada, named by Billboard as one of the “Top Ten Producers With the Most Number One Hits”, also produced the track.
