About Dauman Music

Launched in 2005 and inking its worldwide distribution deal with Federal Distribution/Universal Music Group in late 2007, Dauman Music’s first release, Stephani Krise’s “Tell it to the Moon,” written by Diane Warren and re-mixed by Ralphi Rosario, became one of the Top-10 most played songs of the year on XM Satellite Radio’s BPM Charts.
Founded and helmed by CEO Jason Dauman, Dauman Music has since become a constant presence on the Billboard Club charts with close to 30 chart singles in 4 years. With seven chart singles in 2008, the company topped such labels as Warner (six), Jive (six) and Columbia (six) on the hot dance/club play imprint category. In 2006, 2007 and 2008, Dauman was able to place 3 different artists in the Billboard Top 50 Club Charts on the same week, representing a whopping 6 % of the Dance Chart.
Some of the highlights include: Henri’s Top 10 single “Some Girls”; Tiffany’s return to the charts with “Higher” and “Just Another Day'”; TV/film actress Carmen Perez’s first single “Emergency” which climbed into the pop top 10 in u.k music week charts in 09.; . .2010 will include an Alumni release featuring special guests including Snoop Dogg. Also Josh and JB whom have their own show in 21 country's including CBS in the states debut with a Dr. Luke song.
Expanding beyond its dance music base, Dauman Music released the recent soundtrack to Alice Upside Down featuring Alyson Stoner ''Camp Rock'' and Lukas Grabeel of ''High School Musical'' and ''Milk.''
Dauman has also releasing records re-mixed for the dance market by such contemporary legends as Dave Aude, DJ Escape, Johnny Vicious, Nortty Cotto, DJ Riddler, Ralphi Rosario, Twisted Dee, Eddie Baez, JJ Sanchez, Josh Harris, Scotty K, Klubjumpers, Ellis Miah, Mike Cruz, Frisca and Lamboy), Dave Matthias, Rod Carrillo, Jeff Barringer, Lex and Mark Picchiotti.
An entrepreneurial talent scout whose abilities have led to dozens of radio hits over the years, Jason Dauman’s roots are in song placing, a field where he specialized in the representation of a numerous entertainment personalities, matching artists and songwriters. These artists have included U2, Bruce Springsteen, Garth Brooks, Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly, Burt Bacharach and Carole Bayer Sager, Albert Hammond, Matthew Gerrard (“High School Musical”), Grammy and Oscar nominee Allan Rich, John Wesley Harding, the late Skip Scarborough (producer of Earth, Wind & Fire, Bill Withers and others), Maria McKee and Broadway composer Frank Wildhorn (Jekyll & Hyde & the Scarlet Pimpernel), among many others.
One of Dauman’s most fruitful collaborations was with Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly, whose co-write with Chrissie Hynde “I’ll Stand By You” was not only one of The Pretenders’ biggest hits, but also became a #1 hit for the current top selling UK group Girls Aloud.The song was also recorded by Carrie Underwood becoming a top 10 pop hit !
